Election Information


The City Clerk's Office is responsible for conducting all City, County, State, Federal and School Elections held in the City of Burton.  In addition, the City Clerk's office maintains voter registrations.

2024 Election Dates
Tuesday, February 27th Presidential Primary
Tuesday, August 6th State Primary
Tuesday, November 5th General (Presidential) Election

Early In-Person Voting - Choose Marshall

The City of Burton participates in the State-Wide Qualified Voter File (QVF) System.  The City's voting records are available from this system to do the following:

  • Determine if you are registered to vote
  • Find your Polling Location
  • Learn to use your voter equipment
  • Find answers to frequently asked questions
  • View your sample ballot
  • Register to vote

The Clerk's Office is open to the public  
for the following extended hours during Elections:

The Saturday prior to EVERY Election - 9:00AM - 5:00PM
 Election Day - 7:00AM - 8:00PM
