Water System Flushing

WATER SYSTEM FLUSHING
The City of Burton Utilities Department will be conducting water system flushing beginning early 3:00am Monday morning April 22nd, for two weeks. The main purpose of this flushing is to remove sediment, air and maintain chlorine residual so we can continue to meet safe drinking water standards. This could possibly discolor the water as crews move throughout the system. If this occurs, flush your faucets with cold water and this will assist in clearing the water. It is recommended that you boil any discolored water before drinking.
